Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team at Equiliem. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling complex electro-mechanical systems and sub-systems, ensuring high quality standards of workmanship and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Testing: Assemble complex electro-mechanical systems and sub-systems, including experience with soldering and testing using various lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and impedance analyzers.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high quality standards of workmanship and ensure that all assembled systems meet the required specifications.
  • Workplace Organization: Ensure an organized and clean workspace, including total preventive maintenance of equipment, tooling, and fixtures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and be open to cross-training in different skills.
  • Discipline and Attention to Detail: Demonstrate discipline in following precise work instructions and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
Basic Qualifications
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year of relevant experience or recent study at a vocational trade school.
  • Skills: Ability to assemble small components into compact subsystems, proficiency with basic hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs without assistance.
  • Additional Requirements: Ability to read, interpret, and understand assembly drawings, ability to work in a team-oriented environment, experience with Microsoft Office tools, and ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Solder Certification: Solder certification is a plus.
  • Handling Hazmat: Experience handling hazmat with proper safety regulations.
  • Operating Heavy Equipment: Ability to operate an overhead jib/crane, forklift, and other heavy equipment.
  • CAD Software: Experience viewing assemblies in CAD software.
  • Production Stress Screen Machine: Experience setting up, operating, and changing over production stress screen machines.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Experience working in a world-class lean manufacturing environment.
