Position Overview
A Nuclear Medicine Staff Technologist will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Conducting and processing all Nuclear Medicine examinations, including general NM scans and Nuclear Cardiology studies.
- Performing quality control checks on all Nuclear Medicine equipment.
- Ensuring the safe handling of all diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals.
- Managing the safe handling of all therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals.
- Providing on-call support for after-hours emergencies, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Adhering to all NRC and NJDEP regulations concerning radiation safety.
Experience Requirements
Completion of clinical training through an accredited Nuclear Medicine training program or equivalent college requirements.
Educational Qualifications
Graduate of an AMA-accredited program in Nuclear Medicine.
Licensure and Certification Requirements
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Current ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists License or Current CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist License.
Current NJ-NUCMED - New Jersey Nuclear Medicine Technologist License.
Special Requirements
Basic Life Support certification is required. Availability for M-F as needed with on-call responsibilities.
