Resident Instructor

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Instructor to join our team at Community Residences. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for our clients with developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized plans of care to promote independence and self-advocacy among clients.
- Provide direct care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and transportation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
- Monitor and report changes in client behavior, medical conditions, or other relevant information to supervisors and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as behavioral support, crisis intervention, and client-centered care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- At least two years of experience in human services, preferably in a residential or community-based setting.
- Valid CT driver's license and good driving record required.
- Ability to lift and transfer clients as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
