Comprehensive Physical Therapy Care Specialist

About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Alternate Solutions Health Network LLC. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive skilled services to patients in their homes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide physical therapy as ordered by the attending physician, observing and monitoring patient conditions and notifying the Physical Therapist of any changes.
- Treat patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance using physical means, such as exercise, massage, heat, water, etc.
- Minimize patient risk by assessing functional problems and providing intervention and working towards goals to improve patient functional status.
- Counsel patient and family on the disease/injury and how to manage in all phases of physical therapy, instructing patient and family members on proper use of equipment such as wheelchairs, braces, walkers, crutches, canes, and other prosthetic/orthotic devices.
- Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with current license in the state of employment.
- Minimum one-year experience as a PTA in an acute care setting. Home care experience preferred.
- A valid driver's license and auto insurance in your name as a driver.
- The ability to meet all physical demands of the job.
