Job Title: Surgical Services Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Services Coordinator to join our team at the Surgery Center of Fairbanks, LLC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations and schedule implementation of the Operating Room, ensuring the effective and efficient use of fiscal, equipment, and personnel resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily operations of the Operating Room, including scheduling, staffing, and supply management.
  • Ensure the implementation of the Surgery Center safety, infection control, risk management, and quality improvement plan.
  • Precept, mentor, orient, evaluate, counsel, and coach employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Make scheduling and operational decisions to ensure physician, staff, patient, and departmental satisfaction and efficiency.
  • Maintain accreditation, infection control, laser safety, patient safety, sterilization, dress, and AORN standards in planning, implementing, and evaluating work processes and staff assignments.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of OR experience, including orthopedics, and prior leadership experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, management, administration, physicians, and community.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
