Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Engineer to join our International Trade Compliance team at General Dynamics Information Technology. The successful candidate will provide technical support for NASA programs with international participation, ensuring compliance with federal export and import laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical analysis and support for export control matters related to NASA programs with international participation.
  • Assist with making jurisdiction and classification determinations, including for NASA scientific information planned for public release.
  • Analyze and process NASA-related export authorization requests received from NASA Centers and the U.S. Government Interagency.
  • Assist NASA with assessing compliance with federal export-import laws and regulations and the associated NASA policies.
  • Support development of policy, procedures, instructions, job aids, and training to ensure technology transfer risks are properly managed across NASA.
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing advisory opinions and disclosures to regulators.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate engineering degree in an aerospace related discipline.
  • Minimum of nine (9) years of experience, including at least three (3) years of technical experience with space systems.
  • Supervisory and project management experience.
  • Professional well-mannered team player; excellent social, oral and written communication skills.
  • Proactive, attention-to-detail, self-driven, and able to work well among a diverse group of colleagues and managers.
  • Ability to be granted a SECRET level security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with U.S. export control regulations related to Commerce Control List (CCL) Category 9 products and United States Munitions List (USML) Categories IV and XV items.
  • Active SECRET level security clearance.
