Job Summary:

As a Power Mechanic Level B at Estes Express, you will be responsible for performing repairs and required preventive maintenance of diesel engines, trucks, and forklifts. Your expertise will be utilized to inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on equipment, ensuring it operates efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and diagnose equipment issues to determine the root cause of problems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct safety inspections and prepare necessary documentation
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 18+ years of age
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a related field or completion of trade school
  • Ability to use hand tools and test equipment
  • Must have own tools
  • Knowledge of general repairs and PM criteria
  • Specific knowledge of heavy truck repairs in a commercial environment
Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role include frequent lifting, standing, walking, and use of hands to finger, handle, or feel. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

This role requires frequent exposure to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet to loud.
