Job Overview

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To provide exceptional service of drinks and food in a welcoming, polite, and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures the service station is properly set up and maintained in a clean state before, during, and after shifts.
  • Welcomes guests promptly and courteously, explaining all current specials, promotions, and snack options.
  • Accurately takes orders, demonstrating knowledge of all available beverages, including premium brands, and requires memorization of the drink menu.
  • Delivers appropriate snacks and garnishes with all beverages served.
  • Inputs orders into the point of sale system efficiently to notify the bartender of orders made.
  • Keeps guest tables clean and assists in maintaining the bar area.
  • Replenishes drinks as requested, frequently checking in with guests to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Provides guests with their checks promptly, expressing gratitude and encouraging future visits.
  • Conducts general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning supplies as directed by management to comply with health standards.
  • Completes additional duties as assigned, including special requests from guests.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service, particularly alcoholic drinks.
  • Understanding of proper table settings, service ware, and menu offerings.
  • Ability to read and comprehend menus and promotions, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Capability to remember and promote a variety of menu items.
  • Physical ability to carry trays weighing up to 40 lbs. through crowded areas consistently throughout shifts.
  • Compliance with all State, Federal, and Corporate regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated patrons.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor throughout shifts.
  • Complete all assigned side work and daily checklists.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to stay motivated during both busy and slow periods of service.
  • Experience in cash handling and self-banking, with the ability to manage funds and accurately provide change.
  • Proficient in operating a keyboard and learning point of sale procedures for order processing and check closure.
  • No prior experience is necessary; however, previous cocktail service experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain any required licenses or certifications; TIPS certification is mandatory, and bartender certification is preferred.
