The Industrial Aftermarket Sales Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing DXP/APO Pumps & Compressors' connections with designated accounts. Building strong business relationships involves advising customers on enhancing the reliability and upkeep of their existing compressed air and pump systems. Success will be gauged by the ability to penetrate new accounts and achieve sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all facets of the Aftermarket Sales process, including maintenance agreements, repair quotations, new customer acquisition, and retention strategies.
- Prepare and dispatch product specifications and quotation packages to clients.
- Conduct follow-up communications and address customer inquiries promptly.
- Maintain ongoing contact with clients throughout the sales process to ensure satisfaction and responsiveness to their needs.
- Travel within the assigned territory to meet customers as required.
- Collaborate closely with the Aftermarket Sales Manager and Sales Engineers within respective territories.
- Uphold and promote the company's core values and culture.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of direct sales experience, preferably within the industrial sector.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a solid understanding of technical processes and mechanical systems.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
- Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication abilities.
- Adept at relating to individuals across various levels within industrial manufacturing environments.
- Ability to swiftly assess customer needs and devise effective sales strategies that drive revenue growth for APO Pumps & Compressors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience using Zoho CRM software for tracking sales opportunities and managing client data.
- Strong time management skills are essential.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record in accordance with company policies.
Additional Information:
Physical Requirements: The responsibilities of the Industrial Aftermarket Sales Specialist will necessitate reading, verbal and written communication, memory retention, and analysis of information. The role may require standing, walking, and sitting, along with frequent use of hands for handling and reaching. The ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs is necessary. Specific vision capabilities include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations will be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
Work Environment: The position involves travel to customer locations within the designated territory.
Work Schedule: Standard hours are Monday through Friday, typically 40 hours per week, with potential for overtime or nontraditional hours based on sales demands.
Education: A BA/BS degree is preferred but not mandatory.
