Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Sentara Healthcare. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI examinations while maintaining the safety and integrity of the MRI operational area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI examinations with precision and accuracy
- Maintain a safe and clean MRI operational area
- Explain examination procedures to patients and complete departmental documentation
- Manage supply inventory and maintain a well-organized workspace
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in a Rad Tech position, including Radiologic Tech, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, or Ultrasound
- Completion of MRI school or MRI certificate program, or graduate of a 24-month program in radiologic technology
- 6 months of MR experience or completion of MR didactic program
- ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT certification within 2 years of hire
- CNMT, ARDMS, ARRT, or ARMRIT certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology
- Certificate in ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) certification
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic experience with office and operational systems
- Management and leadership skills
