Product Coordinator Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Product Coordinator Supervisor to join our team at Martin's Famous Pastry Shoppe. As a key member of our Finished Product Department, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating finished product activities to ensure orders are prepared efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and monitor orders from the computer system and accurately correct paperwork to reflect new orders.
- Assign job tasks to workers according to loading and unloading schedules.
- Establish and adjust employee work schedules to meet production and distribution schedules.
- Study orders and estimate labor hour requirements.
- Direct the placement of product in storage areas to ensure efficient and timely flow.
- Direct the loading of product to ensure load efficiencies and prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Oversee scheduling of material movement into and out of storage areas.
- Act as primary communication liaison for the department.
- Interact and communicate with Production, Sales, Schedulers, and Transportation to coordinate projections and activities.
- Direct and coordinate scheduling for all job tasks.
- Oversee internal department mail and mail order shipping.
- Direct and monitor the loading of route sales trucks.
- Facilitate the movement of supplies and materials between plants.
- Maintain an active role on the Food Safety Committee and Risk Assessment Team.
- Analyze unexpected issues and direct the department on how to handle effectively.
- Direct and monitor the transport and processing of stale product.
- Direct and monitor the transport of empty baskets to the conveyor lines.
- Interpret company policies to workers.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality or product and logistics of finished product.
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
- Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities to individual departments.
- Assist corporate dispatch team.
- Schedule employees within the Finished Product Department.
- Ensure cleanliness of work area is maintained.
- Facilitate safety meetings with Product Coordinators.
- Adhere to and enforce safety, food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's Degree in business, logistics, or related field.
- Three to five years' related experience and/or training.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bakery/Manufacturing/Distribution experience preferred.
Language Skills:
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be authorized to handle powered equipment.
