Pediatric OR RN PRN

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric OR RN PRN to join our team at Memorial Health University Medical Center. As a key member of our surgical team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities- Provide professional surgical nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
- Assist in emergency procedures, elective, and scheduled cases, working closely with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Serve as a liaison between the surgical team and patients' families, maintaining effective communication and ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Organize supplies needed for patients, assess patients before, during, and after surgery, and maintain a sterile operating room environment.
- Perform count procedures to protect patients from unintended retained foreign objects and ensure accurate patient identification.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and actively involve patients or designated support persons in decisions affecting their post-perioperative plan of care and rehabilitation process.
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state where you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
- Minimum of 1-year previous experience in Perioperative Nursing is required.
