Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Specialist II to join our team at the Department of Mental Health, Waccamaw Center for Mental Health. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will provide critical support to our clinical teams, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to clinical teams, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating with healthcare providers.
  • Act as a receptionist, greeting patients and visitors, and directing them to the appropriate staff members.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail, emails, and faxes.
  • Process daily Medicaid eligibility reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and photocopying.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • 2 years of clinical experience or 3 years of clerical experience required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) a plus.
  • Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
