Job Title: Nurse Practitioner, NPJob Summary:

Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Critical Care team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the development of our patients' care plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct clinical services for critically ill patients, utilizing evidence-based practice standards and established protocols.
  • Obtain comprehensive and focused history and physical exams on critically ill patients.
  • Evaluate critically ill patients, synthesizing data, physical exams, and pertinent medical history to assess clinical scenarios and prescribe appropriate interventions and medications.
  • Work collaboratively with supervising physicians to determine and place appropriate specialty consultations.
  • Perform complex procedures in the diagnosis and treatment of medical and surgical problems, including central venous catheter placement, arterial catheter placement, chest tube placement, and endotracheal intubation.
  • Remain current with national accreditation and state licensure requirements.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program with a Master's Degree and completion of a board certification (if graduated after July 2006).
  • ARNP license in the state of Florida.
  • Maintains current ACLS and BLS certifications.
  • Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS) Certificate (or obtain within 6 months of hire, if pre-approved by the Physician Director of Critical Care Services).
