Position Title: HVAC Service Technician
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and commission new HVAC systems, including brazing, refrigerant charging, and line set installation.
- Set up piping systems, encompassing drain lines, water lines, gas lines, and associated valves and actuators.
- Handle installation of coils, compressors, condensers, fans, motors, and industrial air compressors.
- Conduct start-up, testing, and commissioning of various commercial HVAC equipment such as RTUs, Air Handlers, and Fan Coil units.
- Perform leak testing on lines and components, including brazing and soldering as needed to rectify defective joints.
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks, including cleaning, filter changes, and lubrication of equipment.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining commercial HVAC equipment, along with a valid Universal CFC certification.
- Proficient in working with ladders, roofs, and attics.
- Experience in operating cutting torches or welding equipment for metal work.
- Understanding of basic electrical circuits, including disconnects and both low and high voltage wiring.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently in isolated environments.
- Knowledge of safe operation and proper use of hand tools and testing devices.
- Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical capability to stand, sit, or squat for extended periods and lift materials up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work at heights and wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
