Procurement Specialist

Job Summary

Weigel's is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for researching and developing forecasts for materials and contractors, negotiating contracts, and building relationships with key suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Research potential suppliers and contractors for new store development projects and other projects within the department.
2. Develop forecasts for materials and contractors for future development projects.
3. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and contractors to obtain the best available pricing and terms.
4. Build and manage relationships with key suppliers to promote mutual beneficial relationships between organizations.
5. Ensure all products, materials, and contractors meet the company standards.
6. Track, record, receive, and document orders/arrivals.
7. Understand and manage all risk management.
8. Exercise attention to detail and effective time management skills.
9. Display adaptability and ability to change quickly and efficiently.

Requirements

Associate's degree or equivalent in experience.

Additional Information

Prior experience working with a government agency or utility is preferred. Experience with software programs such as Esri GIS, Energov, and Blueprint is not required but helpful.
