Job Summary

Weigel's is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for researching and developing forecasts for materials and contractors, negotiating contracts, and building relationships with key suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research potential suppliers and contractors for new store development projects and other projects within the department.
  • Develop forecasts for materials and contractors for future development projects.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and contractors to obtain the best available pricing and terms.
  • Build and manage relationships with key suppliers to promote mutual beneficial relationships between organizations.
  • Ensure all products, materials, and contractors meet the company standards.
  • Track, record, receive, and document orders/arrivals.
  • Understand and manage all risk management.
  • Exercise attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Display adaptability and ability to change quickly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in experience.
  • Prior experience working with a government agency or utility is preferred.
  • Experience with software programs such as Esri GIS, Energov, and Blueprint is not required but helpful.
