Residential Program Coordinator

We are seeking a qualified Residential Counselor to join our team at Pathways, Inc. in supporting adults with severe and persistent mental illness. As a Residential Counselor, you will provide coverage in our residential program, facilitating residents' adaptation to community living through guidance and hands-on assistance.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and supervise adults in group environments, providing supportive services, teaching independent living skills, and crisis intervention as needed.
- Coordinate and supervise residents in self-completion of routine household activities/tasks, including completion of assigned chores and provision of hands-on assistance and teaching as required.
- Develop and conduct rehabilitative-oriented groups for residents, focusing on ADL skills such as budgeting, personal hygiene, nutrition, and wellness.
- Document significant behavioral observations in Pathways' Electronic Health Record, prepare written reports as necessary, and report all unusual behaviors to social workers and program managers.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- A knowledge of basic principles of human development and psychopathology.
- The ability and interest in teaching, coaching, and prompting the development of basic independent living skills.
- Basic understanding of empathy for the needs of individuals with mental illness.
- Knowledge of basic first aid, crisis intervention, and emergency action principles.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, internet, cloud-based applications, and tablet-based applications.
- The ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information.
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and use of company car during work.
Salary Information:
$20 per hour, commensurate with experience.
