Job Summary

JVS SoCal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to oversee operations and drive results at the West Los Angeles AJCC. The successful candidate will ensure service deliverables and contract specifications are met, while interpreting and applying current federal, state, and local regulations and requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Performance: Ensure program performance is consistent with contract requirements through effective supervision and training of staff, managing processes, analyzing data, and staying current with employment and business service trends.
  • Eligibility and Compliance: Understand eligibility criteria, WIOA common measures, and work to incorporate pending WIOA program requirements.
  • Collaboration and Quality Improvement: Work with leaders of partner agencies to ensure appropriate collaboration, leveraging of services, and continuous quality improvement practices.
  • Grant Development: Work as part of a team in developing new grants and funding opportunities.
  • Community Representation: May serve as spokesperson and represent JVS and/or AJCC in the community.
  • Program Budgeting and Evaluation: Plan, develop, establish, and implement grant/program budgets, monitor program delivery and performance against program budgets, objectives, and outcomes; review and monitor program expenditures to ensure compliance with funding requirements and regulations.
  • Staff Performance: Plan and evaluate the performance of assigned staff.
  • Client Data Management: Track client data in internal and State databases to drive results across programs.
Requirements
  • Education: BA or BS degree in Business, Social Work, or other related fields (may be substituted for experience).
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Requires strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Timeliness and attention to detail are essential and knowledge of WIOA common measures and requirements are desirable.
  • Teamwork and Initiative: Must have initiative and at the same time be able to work as part of a team.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft office products including Word and Excel.
  • Supervisory Experience: Supervisor/manager experience 3 + years.
Physical Demands

The incumbent must be able to stand for extended periods, sit for extended periods, bend and reach for filing and other job-related functions, climb up and down stairs, bend, stoop, and lift to move and retrieve materials, pull, push, and lift, reach both above and below shoulder height. Specific visual abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to visually inspect work. Manual dexterity to operate computer and other office equipment required.

Will work in an office environment, travel to employer and client work sites. May be required to work some evenings and an occasional weekend day.
