Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Trader to join our team at Barclays Capital Inc. in New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute trade ideas and hedges, ensuring accuracy and precision in sales order tickets and forms.
  • Analyze daily trading activity, hedging, and risk management across all major exchanges, covering every sector of the U.S. economy.
  • Research and interpret movements in the economy on a micro and macro level, analyzing trends and their impact on existing and potential customers.
  • Research price fluctuations to provide accurate assessments, analyses, and trade ideas, determining trade risk and informing other traders, managers, or customers of market conditions.
  • Manage risk of the team's trading books, contributing to firm infrastructure strategy and participating in pricing products at optimal levels for clients.
  • Perform various analyses on fundamental and technical data to track and analyze factors that affect price movement.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make evaluative judgements based on factual information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide and persuade team members and communicate complex/sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and regulations, with the ability to stay up-to-date with market trends and developments.
