Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Coordinator to join our Care Team Department. As a DME Coordinator, you will play a vital role in facilitating the procurement and delivery of medical equipment for our patients. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with DME vendors to ensure timely delivery of medical equipment
  • Collaborate with Patient Coordinators to obtain DME requests
  • Utilize clinical expertise to research and analyze patient medical records
  • Write clear and concise letters of medical necessity for DME requests
  • Prepare prescriptions and supporting documentation for DME authorization
  • Assist with solutions for incorrect or broken equipment
  • Develop medical knowledge to effectively engage with healthcare professionals
  • Communicate patient needs with Care Team Specialists
  • Audit patient information on a regular basis
  • Maintain accurate records of DME requests
