About the RoleWe are seeking a full-time Resident Care Technician to provide personal care, companion care, and nursing assistance to our residents.
The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
Responsibilities- Provide companion care as listed on the resident's plan of care.
- Assist residents with bathing, showering, and dressing, while maintaining their dignity and privacy.
- Accompany residents to medical appointments and other vital services as needed.
- Promote independence in resident care and ensure safety for both residents and staff.
- Assist with simple range of motion exercises and ambulate residents according to their endurance levels.
- Apply medical or adaptive devices as ordered by a physician or nurse.
- Participate in activities and events as directed by the Activities Manager and Resident Care Coordinator.
- Adaptability and strong organization and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and compassion when dealing with residents and their families.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and early mornings.
- High school diploma required; six months of experience in providing personal care preferred.
