Memory Care Assistant

As a Memory Care Assistant at Front Porch Communities and Services, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents. Under the direction of the Director of Health Services/charge nurse or designee, you will be responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living, meeting their physical and emotional needs, and promoting a positive and homelike environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality customer service to residents, families, and co-workers.
- Recognize and respond to resident needs, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Assist residents with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Perform routine housekeeping tasks, including washing resident laundry and making beds.
- Prepare and serve meals to residents, promoting a sense of community and social interaction.
- Facilitate programs to engage memory care residents, promoting autonomy and decision-making.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure residents receive comprehensive care and support.
Requirements
- Current experience and/or training in long-term care, geriatric care, or rehabilitative aide.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
