Position Overview

As a General Ledger Accountant at SFMC Inc., your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of comprehensive monthly financial reports for the Board of Directors, encompassing Accrual (GAAP basis) Balance Sheets, Revenue and Expense Statements, Bank Reconciliations, as well as Delinquency and Prepaid Reports.
  • Conducting thorough reconciliation of bank accounts for assigned associations and preparing accurate journal entries.
  • Maintaining and reconciling accounting records, including prepaids, accruals, and deferred revenues, ensuring alignment with the Balance Sheet.
  • Overseeing the reconciliation of reserve cash balances with reserve fund balances and maintaining detailed reserve schedules linked to the general ledger.
  • Analyzing and investigating budget variances for inclusion in financial reports.
  • Engaging in effective communication with on-site personnel, board members, banking institutions, corporate staff, and various third-party vendors as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced skills in Excel, is essential.
  • Experience with Caliber software is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
  • Demonstrated professionalism with a solid understanding of customer service principles and practices.
  • Meticulous attention to detail is imperative.
  • Ability to positively represent the company's image to clients.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines.
