About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Marine Engine Technician to join our team at W.W. Williams. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing marine engines, as well as providing expert advice to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engine Repair and Maintenance: Perform quality repairs and maintenance on inboard marine diesel engines, adhering to manufacturer-designed procedures.
  • Diagnostic Expertise: Diagnose failure of vessels by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
  • Administrative Tasks: Accurately complete all required paperwork, including repair information on work orders and information for state and emission inspections.
  • Inspection and Quality Control: Inspect vital parts to ensure they are in proper operating conditions.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a heavy truck or fleet dealership or shop environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of multiple systems, diagnostics, and troubleshooting diesel engines.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient use of Caterpillar ET and SIS, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
