About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and working collaboratively with healthcare and public safety personnel. As a team leader, you will be responsible for managing scenes and units as needed, while also driving the ambulance on 911 responses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols
  • Utilize your skills on medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, and suction devices, and intravenous fluids
  • Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given
  • Act as a team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed
  • Drive the ambulance on 911 responses
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • A valid California Driver's License
  • An Ambulance Driver's License from DMV
  • A Medical Examiner's Card from DMV
  • A State of California Paramedic License
  • CPR Card (American Heart Association ONLY, Health Care Provider)
  • ACLS Card (American Heart Association ONLY)
  • A Driving record in compliance with AMR Safety and Driving policy
  • ICS courses: IS-100B (ICS 100), IS-200B (ICS 200), IS-700A (NIMS), and IS-800B (NIMS)
