Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director to join our Healthcare Preparedness Program at the Georgia Department of Public Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in overseeing the coordination of Georgia's healthcare emergency planning and response efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and implementation of healthcare emergency preparedness plans and protocols.
  • Collaborate with state and local agencies, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective emergency preparedness and response.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to healthcare coalitions and other stakeholders to enhance emergency preparedness and response capabilities.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the preparedness and response capabilities of healthcare providers and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of emergency preparedness and response efforts and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role, with a focus on emergency preparedness and response.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Five years of experience in emergency preparedness and response, with a focus on healthcare.
  • Experience in developing and implementing emergency preparedness plans and protocols.
  • Experience in leading and managing teams, with a focus on emergency preparedness and response.
