We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to provide leadership and guidance to our clients while supporting our internal management as we continue to expand in our New Hampshire office.


In this role, you will be tasked with preparing and reviewing financial documentation for clients, including business and individual tax filings, gaining valuable exposure to a diverse array of industries.

The Senior Tax Accountant is essential in nurturing client relationships and serves as a liaison, overseeing the work of internal team members while collaborating closely with management to ensure that high-quality services are consistently delivered.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Core duties include (but are not limited to):
Prepare and review tax filings for partnerships, corporations, and individuals

Manage special projects such as tax audits, transaction structuring, and the implementation of tax strategies

Conduct advanced tax research and resolve intricate tax challenges

Review tax-related work from staff, providing constructive feedback, training, and mentorship

Lead and oversee multiple tax engagements from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines

Establish, manage, and maintain enduring relationships with clients

Exhibit advanced tax technical expertise necessary for advising clients and developing specialized knowledge

Engage in the firm's marketing, recruitment, team-building, and similar initiatives

Develop external relationships aimed at generating referral opportunities

Comply with the firm's policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience

4+ years in a relevant role

Experience in public accounting or a similar professional services environment is preferred

Education

Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting (for Audit or Tax)

License / Certification

Must progress in professional development by obtaining relevant certification as soon as feasible if not already certified

Must maintain required Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits annually

Legal / Compliance

Must complete acknowledgment of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards document

Government engagements may require the ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States government
