Shift: First Shift
Work Schedule Details: Flexible hours with required attendance at monthly meetings. Involves one RN shift monthly in both Emergency Departments.
Position Overview:
The EMS Liaison acts as the primary hospital contact for Froedtert Health personnel, physicians, and EMS/community healthcare partners. This role enhances communication, identifies educational needs, engages with the community, conducts EMS quality assurance and improvement, and participates in various EMS-related initiatives. The EMS Liaison collaborates with hospital leadership and staff to foster and sustain relationships with EMS/community healthcare partners, serving as a resource on EMS-related matters. The EMS Liaison will fulfill RN duties at least once a month at both Emergency Department locations to maintain a comprehensive understanding of EMS and hospital operations.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in Emergency Room nursing or EMS is required; 3 years is preferred.
- Completion of at least two years of education at an accredited School of Nursing is required for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Must possess a current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or an equivalent is required prior to completing orientation.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within one year of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certifications are required within one year of hire.
