Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Technician to join our team at Froedtert Health. As a key member of our emergency services team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families in the Emergency and Trauma Center.

Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, perform routine service duties and basic nursing procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort, and safety of patients.
  • Assist with patient assessments, vital signs, and other medical procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year of previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of EMT experience is preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • State of Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician License, certified Medical Assistant (in lieu of Medical Assistant Certification, 3 years of experience required), or State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification is required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required to be completed within 30 days.
