Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Mental Health Counselor to become a vital part of our Pastoral Care department. The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting individual assessments and reassessments to identify mental health counseling needs, while also managing clinical documentation and providing psycho-education. This role requires the integration of spiritual and psychological principles into treatment strategies based on individual assessments and interests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care for clients across various age groups, including adults and geriatric populations.
- Engage in treatment team processes to develop tailored clinical plans and goal-oriented psychological treatments.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of individual and group counseling sessions in medical records.
- Conduct Spiritual and Counseling assessments, delivering clinical summaries and initial treatment plans promptly.
- Collaborate with family members during the assessment process, incorporating their insights into the treatment plan.
Work Schedule: This position requires availability Monday through Friday, with Sunday availability as needed, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Educational Requirements: A Master's Degree from an accredited program in pastoral care and counseling, psychology, social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy is required.
Licensure: A current and valid New Jersey Licensed Professional Counselor (L.P.C.), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
Qualifications: A minimum of one year of counseling experience in a mental health environment is required, with a preference for experience in a team or interdisciplinary setting.
All candidates must demonstrate compliance with the CH ASPIRE Standards of Performance.
