Job Description: Assistant Project Manager

This is a full-time remote position based in Lorton, VA with flexible working hours. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading teams of instructional designers and content creators to bring complex projects to life. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Kickstarting each day by connecting with team members, assigning tasks, and setting priorities
  • Conducting team check-ins, tracking milestones, and supporting the Project Manager with organizing project phases
  • Reviewing timelines, preparing reports, and adjusting project plans to ensure the entire team stays aligned and on track

You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge processes and technologies, including learning management systems (LMS) and digital content tools. If you are organized, collaborative, and excited about educational innovation, this role may be the perfect fit for you.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in project management, education, instructional design, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in project coordination or team leadership, ideally in curriculum development or online education
  • Familiarity with instructional design principles and digital content tools
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a collaborative approach
  • PMP certification is preferred but not required
