Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee a multidisciplinary engineering team throughout the design, manufacturing, and delivery phases of the Swordfish Program.
  • Interpret and guide the team in executing tasks assigned by program leadership.
  • Collaborate with functional leadership to ensure appropriate team staffing.
  • Engage with suppliers and clearly communicate project requirements.
  • Provide updates to internal and customer leadership regarding the progress of assigned tasks within the POD Team.
  • Assist in proposal development and efforts for new program acquisitions.
  • The selected candidate will thrive in a dynamic work environment characterized by high expectations, diverse assignments, and collaborative team settings. The ideal candidate is expected to be self-driven, exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a STEM-related field with a minimum of 9 years of experience, or 7 years with a master's degree, or 4 years of experience with a Ph.D. An additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members, along with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in Radar POD Development.
  • Prior experience in Manufacturing Engineering is essential.
  • Experience and/or exposure to supply chain, manufacturing, and supplier interactions.
  • Familiarity with the Hardware Design Process.
  • Experience in business capture engagements and proposal submissions.
  • Background in Radar POD systems development, integration, and testing.
  • Experience in leading product initiatives across various engineering domains such as Antenna Design, RF Mode Development & Signal Processing, POD Design, Design for Manufacturability, Integration, and Testing.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must possess an Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a STEM-related discipline.
  • Experience as a Subject Matter Expert, Technical Lead, Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, or in another engineering leadership capacity within a program office.
  • Direct experience managing or leading engineering teams.
  • Support for product line development and technical roadmaps.
  • In-depth understanding of the Design, Manufacturing, and Testing processes of large-scale programs.
  • Problem-solving experience in a collaborative team environment.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance is preferred.

This role is contingent upon the candidate possessing an Active Secret Clearance.

Salary Range: $127,000 - $190,600

The above salary range serves as a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Furthermore, Northrop Grumman offers a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plans, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
