Resumen:

Proporciona liderazgo clínico y experiencia en el área de especialidad. Diagnostica las respuestas humanas a problemas de salud reales o potenciales relacionados con intervenciones quirúrgicas. Ofrece atención de apoyo o restaurativa, asesoramiento en salud y educación, identificación de casos y derivación, en colaboración con el régimen total de atención médica.

Responsabilidades:

1. Proporciona liderazgo clínico y experiencia en el área de especialidad. Asesora al personal en conformidad con la política del hospital.
2. Evalúa, monitorea e implementa atención de enfermería de apoyo, asesoramiento en salud y educación a pacientes que se someten a cirugía cardiovascular, incluyendo una evaluación completa de enfermería al ingreso.

3. Asiste al cirujano/proveedor de anestesia en procedimientos quirúrgicos cardiovasculares, inserciones de Swan Ganz, inserciones de balón intra-aórtico, marcapasos permanentes y otros procedimientos invasivos.

4. Crea y mantiene un ambiente estéril mientras realiza todas las funciones de asistencia y circulación. Obtiene y documenta los datos recolectados.

5. Sigue el protocolo de ACLS, bajo la dirección de un cirujano cardíaco/proveedor de anestesia, en caso de complicaciones o código 99. Evalúa y monitorea al paciente, establece acceso IV, desfibrila y administra medicamentos según sea necesario.

6. Recopila datos para estudios de investigación, mantiene niveles adecuados de medicamentos y suministros en el inventario, asiste con el programa de mejora de calidad y coordina el programa de educación sobre seguridad.

7. Reprograma marcapasos permanentes según orden del médico.

8. Completa y mantiene todas las competencias específicas de cardiovascular relacionadas con las funciones de asistencia y circulación, incluyendo todas las competencias relacionadas con equipos e instrumentación cardíaca.

9. Mantiene registros precisos de implantes y realiza todos los informes obligatorios de implantes. Asiste con la ordenación de implantes y el mantenimiento del inventario de implantes y suministros especiales.

10. Asiste en la educación de estudiantes de enfermería y medicina.

11. Desarrolla e inicia estrategias de enseñanza que reflejan las necesidades educativas del personal.

12. Evalúa los requisitos de personal y recomienda cambios según sea necesario.

13. Supervisa el cumplimiento del programa. Asegura la entrega de atención de calidad y costo-efectiva a través de la resolución de problemas y la implementación de medidas de aseguramiento/mejora de calidad.

14. Asiste en las funciones técnicas, radiológicas y de enfermería para todos los procedimientos de guardia fuera de horario, asiste en el programa de mejora del rendimiento del departamento y ayuda en la capacitación y desarrollo de otros miembros del personal.

15. Logra las expectativas establecidas por la organización con respecto a la calidad del servicio, trabajo en equipo, desarrollo personal y servicio a la comunidad.

16. Cumple con todas las responsabilidades de cumplimiento relacionadas con el puesto.

17. Realiza otras tareas según se le asigne.

Educación: TÍTULO DE NIVEL ASOCIADO

Otra Información:

Requerido: Título de nivel asociado y un mínimo de 3 años de experiencia laboral relacionada. Mínimo de un año de experiencia en quirófano de RN o finalización reciente de Periop 101. Certificación de enfermería.

Credenciales: Licencia de RN del estado.
