Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Store Optimization and Deployment Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Store Optimization & Deployment team, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions that enhance store operations. Your work will contribute to a 3-5-year pipeline of creative projects aimed at delivering incremental benefits to our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Development and Support: Develop solutions, maintain how-to documents and SOPs, and conduct ROI analysis. Utilize process flow and value stream mapping, OR tactics, and lean principles to implement projects in testing environments.
  • Operational Analysis and Design: Conduct studies to maximize workflow and spatial utilization within stores. Interact with key business stakeholders to identify business needs and develop solutions. Evaluate new business proposals and store process changes, analyzing their impact on store labor hours.
  • Change Management and Implementation: Lead change management principles in project definition, including assessing sponsorship and stakeholder engagement. Define and implement approaches for testing, piloting, and rolling out solutions. Assist in troubleshooting and support training for new processes and technologies.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Develop and support process and standards documentation for project delivery. Assist in reporting Save For Our Customer initiatives to Finance and leadership. Create and manage KPIs, dashboards, and benchmark reports to measure project success.
  • Vendor and Technology Management: Source vendors for manufacturing and prototyping, and manage end-to-end vendor onboarding. Issue purchase orders for prototype and pilot equipment, tracking the R&D budget. Work with IT consultants to ensure proper funding and roadmap placement for viable POCs.
  • Innovation and Research: Research and attend industry-relevant events to drive robust pipeline development. Identify and adapt emerging trends and technologies to enhance store operations. Perform complex analytics and data mining to support decision-making and identify opportunities.
Requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and PowerBI, including dashboard creation and management.
  • Familiarity with Python and other coding/programming tools (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in project management, Lean Six Sigma, and process mapping.
  • Knowledge of Kaizen principles and ADKAR methodologies, and a basic understanding of material manufacturing processes.
  • B.S. degree in Industrial, Systems, or Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field, with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
