Job Overview

The Fountain Group is seeking a highly skilled Import/Export Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless trade compliance and efficient import/export operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Trade Compliance: Process import/export trade compliance clearance of cross-border shipments in Global Trade Management system (Oracle module)
  • Documentation Preparation: Provide import clearance instructions to broker by validating and preparing documentation subject to Customs, FDA, and other government agencies
  • Shipment Processing: Point of contact for shipment processing with different business partners and respond to internal and external shipment inquiries
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in trade compliance or a related field
  • Trade Knowledge: Previous work experience and understanding of Trade Compliance (7501 for US, or equivalent in other countries)
  • Record Retention: Knowledge of record retention best practices for customs documentation (e.g., storage and organization of electronic records)
  • HTS Classification: Understanding of HTS classification principles
  • Industry Experience: Experience working with import/export operations in US and Europe is a plus
  • Technical Skills: Experience with excel databases and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
  • Regulated Industry: Previous experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., Food, Pharma, Medical devices, etc.) is a plus
  • Work Schedule: 3 days remote, 2 days onsite per week
