Position Summary
The Assembler II plays a crucial role in the production process, responsible for the fabrication of component parts or the assembly of finished products in accordance with customer specifications. This position requires the secure handling and maintenance of necessary component parts and supplies essential for operations, including plates, nails, staples, and fasteners.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up work areas efficiently.
- Assemble parts according to prescribed methods and quality standards.
- Operate machinery and hand tools as needed to complete assembly tasks.
- Stack and organize completed products following established procedures, including covering, labeling, and banding as required.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is safe for operation.
Additional Duties
- Complete pre-shift equipment inspections and report any issues.
- Keep the workspace orderly and perform basic Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on equipment, completing necessary paperwork.
- Maintain accurate production records and check materials and finished products for compliance with quality standards.
- Adhere to established safety and quality procedures, participating in safety and continuous improvement programs and meetings.
- Perform other assigned tasks as necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in assembling components or specialty products is required; 1 year or more is preferred.
- Basic math skills are essential.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
