Job Description

Emerson is seeking a Quality Inspector II to join our team in Stafford, TX. As a Quality Inspector II, you will be responsible for performing receiving, first article, in-process, and final inspection of parts as per drawings/specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Enforce the Company's Quality Management System (QMS) and domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Perform first article inspection, dimensional/GD&T of components during trouble shooting of failed valves.
  • Conduct receiving, first article, in-process, and final inspection as per procedures.
  • Participate in quality audits and inspections, addressing any findings and implementing necessary corrective actions.
  • Perform all product inspections and tests in accordance with established quality standards, inspection plans, and test procedures.
  • Document nonconformance reports with adequate details.
Requirements:
  • High School/GED
  • 3 years of proven ability in Quality Inspection experience
  • Proficient in reading engineering drawings and capable to perform inspection
  • Proficient in use of all general Measuring & Test equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working experience in Assembly/Test of valves (or) Machining
  • Programming knowledge in ZEISS CALYPSO or Mitutoyo MCOSMOS or HEXAGON -PC-DMIS and running CMM/portable ARM
  • Knowledge of Welding/NDE inspection ASME codes (I, II, V, VIII, and IX), PED (European Pressure Equipment Directive)
