Banana Ripening Program Manager

This role is responsible for overseeing the entire banana ripening process, ensuring that our customers' expectations are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the ripening process, including quality inspections, cycle development, and post-ripening handling.
  • Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to project sales and manage inventory.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules to maintain adequate inventory and ripening schedules.
  • Partner with FSQA and EHS to ensure proper protocols for ethylene gassing procedures and chemical storage.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in banana ripening processes, including experience with ethylene.
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack and forklift.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Good judgment and awareness of financial impact of decisions.
