Nurse Practitioner, Mother Baby, Per Diem

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Mother Baby team on a per diem basis. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to a healing, humane, and caring environment.
Responsibilities:- Carry out patient care responsibilities with emphasis on decision-making related to the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, identification of expected outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide competent, safe, and compassionate care based on established NYU Langone Health Patient Care and Nursing Standards.
- Formulate the initial plan of care with the provider and collaborate with them to implement a comprehensive patient-centered plan of care to achieve expected outcomes.
- Prioritize care based on data collected and document assessment and reassessment in medical records.
- Implement interventions in the coordination of patient care in a safe, timely, and appropriate manner and apply escalation processes.
- Educate patients and families regarding health status and established plans of care.
- Participate in and contribute to unit activities to provide patient care in a healing, humane, and caring environment.
- Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
- Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association.
- Fluent written and spoken English language skills.
- Membership in pertinent professional organizations.
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
