Job Summary
SAIC is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Hardware Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical and mechanical analysis at the rack level, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.
- Develop and generate engineering drawings in accordance with ASME and IEEE standards, including rack assembly drawings, interconnect wiring diagrams, and custom cable assemblies.
- Conduct analysis of supplier LRUs, including step-file and 3D model review and compliance to specifications.
- Support system integration, test, development, and execution of various types of complex communications systems.
- Develop technical solutions to complex problems, requiring regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
- Provide lab and site integration, test, and maintenance support.
- Participate in troubleshooting systems to resolve complex issues, interact, and coordinate with engineers responsible for sustaining sub-systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and nine plus years' experience, or four plus years' experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
- Experience in designing new or modifying existing products, developing technical specifications for production, analyzing hardware configuration and processing solutions, and testing hardware conformance to specifications.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience sustaining PARCS, or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as PAVE PAWS and UEWR.
- Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterprise.
