Position Overview

The Supply Chain Procurement Analyst/Intern is expected to demonstrate the capability to operate autonomously while creating and implementing effective data collection methodologies to extract relevant information from the organization. This is essential for supporting sourcing and management functions across various commodity and service categories. The Analyst/Intern should possess advanced technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Access, Excel, database management, and programming.

These technical competencies must be complemented by a solid understanding of business principles, enabling the Analyst/Intern to interpret data meaningfully and present insights that inform category management strategies. The reporting produced by the Analyst/Intern will be shared with senior management. The role requires adept management of deadlines and the ability to juggle multiple priorities to ensure project and team objectives are met.

  • Support Central Purchasing with designated projects across diverse transportation modes
  • Creation of analytical tools and dashboards as necessary
  • Assist category managers in the execution of Request for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Conduct data analysis to uncover cost-saving opportunities, particularly for inbound logistics of raw materials
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and generate reports as needed

Essential Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Proactive attitude and capability to work independently while engaging with cross-functional teams
  • High Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Tableau is advantageous
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy in work, and outstanding communication abilities
  • Background in logistics or supply chain studies
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn and ask insightful questions
  • Organized approach with the ability to condense information into Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or presentation formats
