**Job Summary**

University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a skilled CT Technologist I to join our team. As a CT Technologist I, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized CT imaging procedures under general supervision.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Execute basic clinical competence in CT, in all locations, across all patient types, and demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
  • Apply knowledge of CT principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, radiation safety and physics, patient positioning and patient care skills, and adhere to Joint Commission, State, Federal, organizational and departmental regulatory compliance standards.
  • Document accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems.
  • Ensure a safe and appropriate work environment, maintain supplies and inventory in area, and inform appropriate colleagues when supplies need to be ordered from outside vendors.
  • Actively participate in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives and efforts to improve workflows, patient experience and quality.

**Qualifications**

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree, or Certificate, in radiologic technology from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • No experience required.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiography (R).
  • Licensed Radiographer - State of Maryland.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Bachelor degree in health sciences or a related field.
  • Experience in CT.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiography (CT).
