Job Summary:

Loma Linda University Medical Center seeks a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner-Stroke and Neuro Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care, education, and support to patients and families affected by stroke and neurological disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and coordinate care with the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on stroke and neurological disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
  • Stay current with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in stroke and neurocritical care.
Requirements:
  • Master of Science Degree in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a focus on neuroscience or neurocritical care.
  • Minimum three years of experience as a registered nurse in the acute care setting, with a focus on neuroscience or neurocritical care.
  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license and California Nurse Practitioner Certificate (NP) required.
  • National certification in neuroscience or neurocritical care preferred.
