Job Summary:
The Cardiac Surveillance Technician is a vital member of the healthcare team, working under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. This role assists in providing care by continuously monitoring cardiac telemetry patients. The technician provides indirect patient care by offering supportive functions to the nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:
Provides continuous cardiac surveillance for telemetry patients, maintaining effective communication and collaboration with physicians, staff, and the responsible nurse.
Maintains current knowledge and competency in rhythm and dysrhythmia identification.
Compiles and records data for patient records and unit purposes.
Ensures safety in the use of all equipment.
Collaborates with coworkers and other departments to benefit the organization, and orients new staff to the CST function.
Performs all other related duties and activities as assigned.
