Position Overview:
Command Holdings is in search of a highly skilled Senior Special Operations Forces Trainer (Fires) IV. This role is pivotal in supporting Theater Special Operations Commands, SOF Service Components, and joint Special Operations Forces (SOF) Headquarters in the comprehensive planning, coordination, and execution of functional and collective training programs that emphasize operational and strategic warfare levels.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be tasked with delivering expert knowledge and strategic joint training, particularly in the Fires domain. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough research and analysis to bolster the readiness and exercise programs of Theater Special Operations Commands, SOF Service Components, and joint SOF Task Force Commanders.
  • Designing effective training methodologies and materials grounded in Adult Learning principles to educate Battle Staffs on the core SOF activities and joint HQ tasks.
  • Fostering collaborative relationships with operational and strategic planners within USSOCOM HQs, GCC's, TSOC's, the Joint Staff, and JSOC to ensure cohesive exercise design and execution.
  • Contributing to exercise design, JELC planning, scenario scripting, and key staff role-playing activities.
  • Applying the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) to ascertain training requirements and create suitable training materials for both in-person and online formats.
  • Reviewing and critiquing event concepts to align with the mission objectives of the event's sponsor, utilizing real-world scenarios and operational planning principles.

Work Environment:
The work environment may include moderate to loud noise levels, typical of an office setting with computers and communication devices, as well as operational environments.

Physical Demands:
Employees in this role must be capable of performing various physical tasks, including:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and using a computer.
  • Driving in diverse environments, including urban and rural settings.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and remote locations.

Travel Requirements:
This position may necessitate regular travel, with potential trips to remote overseas locations for extended durations.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • A minimum of 4 years of operational experience in warfighting.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Operational Fires and the Joint Targeting Process.
  • Expertise in After Action Report (AAR) products and procedures.
  • Proven capability as a Fires Observer/Trainer.
  • Knowledge of the Universal Joint Task List (UJTL) and Joint Mission Essential Task List (JMETL).
  • Experience advising military leaders on planning, training, and assessment of Joint Fires.
  • Proficiency in developing and presenting briefs for problem resolution.
  • Familiarity with communications and information systems training.
  • Understanding of Joint Doctrine.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in SOF at O5-O6/CW4/E9 levels.
  • Availability to start within three weeks of an offer.
