Adult Military and Family Life Counselor

Leidos is seeking licensed behavioral health professionals to join our Adult Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) team to support Fort Irwin, CA.

This is a unique opportunity to serve a vital role in providing non-medical support, including counseling, consultation, and outreach, to service members, military family members, and eligible staff.

As an Adult-MFLC, you will provide face-to-face counseling to military service members and their families, observe and participate in activities with service members, military spouses, and families, and offer presentations to service members, military families, and military leadership at military-connected events.

You will also promote creativity and positivity through approved materials, build rapport with parents and families by attending installation and community events, and help with transition adjustments, such as a new school and a new home.

Additional responsibilities may include responding to emergent situations in any physical location on a military installation, traversing long distances to both indoor and outdoor locations, and working in outdoor weather.

The Adult-MFLC position offers a range of benefits, including no insurance to file, no progress notes required, and an iPad provided for easy digital reporting.

Eligibility to participate in a 401K retirement plan and centralized support through a Counseling Center of Excellence are also available.
