Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Oversee nursing operations and resource allocation within the pediatric transport unit.
- Manage staff scheduling and facilitate educational and developmental programs.
- Identify and address challenges impacting patient care delivery.
- Conduct quality assurance assessments and assist in implementing improvement strategies.
- Serve as a resource for staff and external partners regarding patient care and clinical standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and departmental policies.
Qualifications
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required prior to employment.
- Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) required prior to employment.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Valid Registered Nurse license from the state of Florida required prior to employment.
- Certification in Prehospital Trauma Life Support is preferred.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Emergency Department (ED) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) required.
