KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide leadership to develop, support, and implement strategies for the National Federal Civilian (non-Defense) accounts while expanding the company’s overall Federal portfolio.

This involves crafting strategies to assess and enhance existing strengths, understanding current Federal relationships, and navigating the interactions each agency has with other federal entities, including Defense through interagency agreements.

The goal is to consolidate this knowledge to position Michael Baker International as the preferred provider for Federal Civilian clients.

Engage with Federal Civilian client leadership to identify upcoming business and collaboration opportunities, ensuring Michael Baker International is well-positioned for successful capture and execution.

Collaborate with Michael Baker International's regional staff and leadership, national market and practice leads, and selected subject matter experts to cultivate relationships, pursue opportunities, and deliver projects effectively.

Expand the Federal Civilian (non-Defense) portfolio.

In conjunction with the Federal business line, executive leadership, regional staff, national market and practice leads, and selected subject matter experts, the successful candidate will: Enhance partnerships with small businesses.

Assist in strategic planning related to the U.S. Federal program, including identifying potential partners and transformative projects.

Conduct Program Management, Quality Assurance, and related activities to support project management and execution.
Represent Michael Baker International through outreach initiatives, including professional organizations and other entities associated with the U.S. government.

Manage client relationships to identify opportunities and ensure successful project delivery.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated business development expertise and relationships with Federal entities, particularly within non-Defense Civilian agencies. Proven track record of building and nurturing partnerships within an extensive client network; adept at creating new relationships while strengthening existing ones.
Comprehensive understanding of client organizational structures and procurement processes.
An entrepreneurial mindset with a solid grasp of the business development challenges faced by consulting service providers. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Experience in leading a team of highly skilled professionals and fostering internal networking across a large enterprise. Exceptional communication, negotiation, coordination, and managerial abilities.
Business acumen with experience engaging in key pursuits, including strategy development, pricing, and team management.
Familiarity with the SF330 process. Travel is necessary to oversee efforts across the U.S. and occasionally internationally.
A degree in Engineering or Architecture is preferred, with engineering registration being advantageous but not mandatory.
A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience working with Federal clients, focusing on Federal agencies.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in buildings & infrastructure, environmental consulting, and other advisory services across a wide array of project types and sizes, serving diverse public sector clients.
