El Rol

El Chief Operations Officer (COO), bajo la dirección del CEO/Fundador, proporcionará liderazgo y dirección general para las operaciones y logística de Houston Classical. El COO será responsable de todas las operaciones diarias, trabajará directamente con una variedad de proveedores y liderará al personal operativo de la escuela. Responsabilidades

  • El COO es responsable de supervisar y gestionar todos los aspectos de las operaciones de la escuela para garantizar un funcionamiento fluido y eficiente. Esto incluye la gestión de instalaciones, transporte, seguridad, servicios de alimentación y funciones administrativas generales.
  • Trabaja en estrecha colaboración con el equipo de liderazgo escolar para desarrollar e implementar políticas, procedimientos y estrategias que apoyen la misión y los objetivos de la escuela.
  • Es responsable de la elaboración de presupuestos, gestión de recursos y coordinación de esfuerzos para optimizar la eficiencia operativa.
  • Juega un papel clave en el mantenimiento de un entorno seguro y acogedor para estudiantes, personal y visitantes, al mismo tiempo que fomenta una cultura escolar positiva.
  • Supervisa y evalúa al personal dentro del departamento de operaciones.
  • Gestiona todas las necesidades operativas de la escuela, incluyendo la instalación, todas las operaciones financieras, procedimientos de entrada y salida, asistencia, alimentación escolar, mantenimiento de registros y funciones de recursos humanos.
  • Asegura el cumplimiento en toda la escuela con las leyes de salud y seguridad, contratos de carta, mandatos educativos estatales y todas las regulaciones laborales federales y estatales.
  • Actúa como el principal enlace con el proveedor de servicios de back-office para la gestión diaria del presupuesto, nómina, procedimientos de compra, seguimiento e informes financieros.
  • Co-lidera la planificación y ejecución de eventos escolares.
  • Crea y gestiona sistemas logísticos dentro del programa académico.
  • Asiste con transiciones y rutinas escolares hasta que sean completamente internalizadas por los estudiantes y el personal.
  • Trabaja en un horario no tradicional (noches, fines de semana, selectos días festivos).
  • Gestiona relaciones con todos los proveedores de operaciones, incluyendo servicios de alimentación y limpieza.
  • Promueve un ambiente de altas expectativas en la oficina principal y en todas las partes de la escuela.
  • Asegura la seguridad física y emocional de todos los estudiantes y personal mediante la evaluación constante de la cultura y el entorno escolar.
  • Proyectos especiales u otras tareas diversas asignadas por el CEO/Fundador.

Calificaciones

  • Título universitario (se prefiere maestría).
  • Compromiso con el trabajo con jóvenes urbanos desatendidos.
  • Excelentes habilidades de comunicación oral y escrita, así como habilidades interpersonales, y la capacidad de establecer y mantener relaciones de trabajo efectivas y colaborativas con un personal diverso.
